History:Agri-AFC, LLC was formed in the fall of 2003 as a joint venture between Alabama Farmers Cooperative and Agriliance, a wholly owned entity between Cenex-Harvest States and Land O’Lakes. The JV was formed to give the local cooperative members of Alabama Farmers Cooperative more competitively priced crop input products and availability of new products for their producers. In the fall of 2007 Winfield Solutions, a wholly owned entity of Land O’Lakes, took over Agriliance’s part of the Joint Venture. Since the inception of Agri-AFC, LLC, several additions to the original structure have taken place. The purchase in the summer of 2005 of Farmer’s Favorite Fertilizer, located in Evergreen, Alabama, increased the fertilizer storage capacity and added additional production facilities of bagged fertilizer products to distribute throughout the southeast United States. In the fall of 2007, Agri-AFC, LLC purchased the Chattahoochee River Terminal, located in Columbia, Alabama, to distribute fertilizer in the Southeastern Alabama and Western Georgia area. And in the spring of 2009, Agri-AFC, LLC purchased 12 additional retail locations in Southern Georgia and Mississippi. Agri-AFC, LLC is headquartered in Decatur, Alabama and currently employs over 250 employees in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. Agri-AFC, LLC has 7 fertilizer terminals, 3 Crop Protection Product warehouses, 2 seed warehouses, a Cotton Gin & Warehouse in Eufaula, AL, and 21 retail operations all strategically located throughout Alabama, Southwest Georgia, and Southern Mississippi. Mission Statement: AGRI-AFC, LLC will meet the agronomic supply and the service requirements of our customer base and the financial expectations of our partners, while utilizing Best Management Practices to be proactive in protecting the environment, our employees, and the partners’ investment. We will utilize the synergism created within AGRI-AFC, LLC to solidify our position as the marketer of choice for agricultural and professional products in our market area. |
